My one year old little boy took his first steps at nursery yesterday!!

I just needed to moan about it as my other half doesn't understand why I'm down about it haha.

It's not the end of the world.. but Jacob cmon! !!

Oh no that sucks. :( If it makes you feel any better mine both took their first steps at home but I cant remember either of them now!

Aw no. I can't believe they told you. I work in a nursery and we never tell parents if they take steps at nursery when we don't know if they've done it at home. We say something like "they were so close to taking steps today, have they taken any at home?" If they no we wait till they tell us they have. However like pp both mine took first steps at home and I can remember ds''s but not dd''s which does make me feel bad. So try not to feel bad I'm sure he'll be doing lots for you soon.

Aww :hugs: My little girl took her first steps at home but I still missed it as I was in another room :hugs:

Awww hugs to you :(

I can't believe they told you! My cousin manages a nursery and they never tell parents if they've missed something like that, they'll just say "he nearly did it" to encourage you to try and get him to do it at home.

ooh I think that's really sad that they told you :( My nephew is about to turn 1 and on the cusp of walking he's in nursery 7 till 7 5 days a week and she's terrified she's going to miss it.

I'm getting over it.. what makes it worse is he's back at nursery on Monday and won't take a step here haha!! He stands for ages.. absolutely ages. But when he wants to move he grabs something x

Oh no, I have to admit this is something that worries me, my DS is one on Tuesday and also stands for ages but as far as I know hasnt taken a step yet. Hopefully now you know he's ready you will have something ready to record it when he finally does do it at home.

They shouldn't have told you. That's really bad of them. My daycare provider used to ask if he was close to rolling or walking but as far as I know he had those firsts at home.
