Hi ladies! I have been trying to conceive my first child for two years( on and off). I have PCOS and it has cursed me with horribly irregular periods. I decided a week ago that i had given my body a fair chance to cooperate and decided I wanted to give clomid a try. I have not had a period in four months so the doctor prescribed me 28 days of estradiol (currently on day 7)and on day 15 I start my 14 days of progesterone . Hopefully this brings on a period so that I can start clomid ( on the 5th day of my cycle). I am brand new to this process and not 100% sure what to expect. I am nervous that I won't get a period from the meds ( because my body does not care to do things normally). How soon should I expect AF to come after I complete the estradiol/progesterone regimen? Has anyone gone through this process and have advice/ success stories? Thank you ahead of time for any comments, I appreciate having somewhere to go for support!

Hey!
I'm not in exactly the same position as you but i wanted to post just for some support really and some reassurance with regards to Clomid.
Just like you, i had very irregular periods, some cycles lasting 28 days, others as long as 42 and after 2 years TTC my FS put me on Clomid last year and i found it absolutely brilliant! The first round, i fell pregnant straight away (unfortunately this one did result in a MMC) but the second time... Fell pregnant and had a beautiful baby girl Nov 13! I am now waiting for my next period to try for baby number 2! Again, i need the Clomid so as soon as AF arrrives i will be taking Clomid starting on CD2. A friend of mine had PCOS and was given progesterone to fall - it worked wonders for her, she soon got her AF and had good success with Clomid.
If i can provide any support or answer any questions about Clomid please dont hesitate to ask - I will do my best to help!
Wishing you all the very best!!
