First Time Clomid user... question. Please help!

I figured this was the best place to ask this question. I just started Clomid yesterday. I took about 3:30 and around 7:30 or 8ish I had to lie down because I felt nauseated. I ended up getting up to use the bathroom, I had the runs and had to grab a trash bag to get sick in. Was sick out both ends all night and up until about 2am.

My question is has this happened to anyone else right after starting Clomid?

I called my doctor and she told me to try and take the second dose today and see what happens. If I get the same reaction to not take it again. DH wants me to try just half of one. I was in serious hopes that the timing of taking the Clomid and getting sick was just a coincedince and I have a virus.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

oh dear, you poor thing! i certainly didnt have a reaction like that to clomid but i dont know if anyone else on here has...

if i were you i'd give the second dose a try just in case it was pure fluke BUT thats easy for me to say because i dont have to endure another day of sickness if it turns out it was the clomid.

i wish i could tell you one way or another, sorry

Thanks Missy. I'm beginning to think it is a virus because I have a fever now of 100.2 And surely the Clomid wouldn't do that.

Hey Hun with that temp it sounds like you're ill... I've never heard of clomid making anyone ill like that but then anythings possible... I think try the second dose and see how you go...

oh wow yeah, it definitely sounds like you're ill honey which is shitty for you right now but its good that its not the clomid!! i hope you feel better soon x

Don't think it was the clomid. I took it for 4 months and had nothing like that, just a few night sweats and a bit of weight gain. Worth it though, I am 6wks 3days pregnant now!!
