Hi everyone just wanted to introduce myself!

I'm 13+1 firat pregnancy, so a bit early according to standard trimester changes however having twins so figured technically I'm in second tri now due to delivering early!

Well that's it, just saying hi! Xx

Congtatulations. :) Did they tell you what type of twins? I have 7 yr old twins, they were di/di. :)

Hiya, I'm also a FTM having twins. Mine are identical and share a placenta. Have they told you which type you're having? X

Thanks everyone! They are none identical, much to my relief I was so worried I wouldn't be able to tell them apart haha!! Xx

Oh I wouldn't bet on that! They can tell you if they have separate placenta but unless they are oposite sexes you cannot know for sure if they are fraternal in utero. Identical twins can have separate placenta, it all depends on how soon after the egg splits to were they end up being di/di,mo/di or mo/mo. I have known a few people be told fraternal then they looked so much alike they went for DNA testing and found they were identical. Most twins with separate placenta are fraternal but there is always a chance of ID!

My sisters were supposedly fraternal twins, but there is no question that they are identical. Congrats on your pregnancy! My OH was hoping I'd have twins. This will by our only child, he is a bit older and wants to have kids when he's young enough to have the energy to play with them and enjoy them, so he was hoping I'd have twins so he'd get two babies for the price of one! Haha, it wasn't in the cards for us though.

Hiya, congrats on twins!
I'm carrying DCDA twins myself , and already am a mummy of 2 , so lots of hard work coming for me x

Oh goodness!! I said to the sonographer I had heard that separate sacs can sometimes mean ID she said that was wrong an they will definitely be fraternal!! Oh well I guess I'll soon find out!! Xx

I was told there is a 30% chance of being identical with mine being in different sacs and both being the same sex, the egg could have spilt very early so I was told, will just have to wait and see eeekk
