A while ago I found out my 2 cats had caught fleas,I got the proper stuff from the vets and thought that was the end of it.Then not long after we started getting bitten, they must have been in the house:wacko:
I have been hoovering like a mad woman, had sprays, powders etc washed everything on 60* and the problem seemed to have gone and I havent seen any for ages but lo has a bite on him today.
What else can I do,we move house in 2 weeks and I dont want them still to be here when the new people move in!
The proffessionals cost £64 and need 2 visits and I have to tell the landlord,Im so embarrased they will think im scruffy!
Please cat lovers how do you keep it under control?

It's hard. We've had some bad infestations as well, especially in the humid parts of summer. At our house, nothing worked until we treated the cats, sprayed the house, AND, very importantly, sprayed the yard all on the same day.

I have 2 cats and 4 dogs. I make sure everything gets treated for fleas at the same time, I also use flea sprays on soft furnishings and flea bombs in rooms. These are like smoke bombs you set them going in a room with doors/windows closed and they fumigate it.

I have two dogs and the only way I have found to control the fleas is to control them on my dogs. Sucks since it means I have to shell out 75 bucks a year on the expensive spot on flea treatments, but it's a piece of mind for me.

For inside the house Salt and Borax(the soap) work great. The salt kills the adult fleas and the borax kills the eggs. Best on carpets. AND it's non-toxic. Good luck.
