Hello,

Not sure if I am panicking a bit but this morning when I stood up quickly I noticed a few black spots in my right eye like floating about.

Thought It was just because I stood up quickly but now I'm sort of panicking about it being something worse and of course I googled it!

Now I am noticing this spots every few minutes, going to ring my doctors on my lunch break as I feel like a water infection coming along aswell but just wanted to know if anyone gets these floaters or black spots in the eye and it isn't something serious?

Sometimes I think because midwifes tell you look out for things it makes you more panicky to things that could be nothing.

All I know is that when I go to opticians appointments they always tell me to get checked if I ever see black spots or floaters as it can be a sign of a detaching retina.

Always worth getting checked, better to be safe than sorry.

how far along are you hun?

best to get checked out xx

Floaters or flashing lights can be a sign of raised Bp/preeclampsia but is usually associated with a headache and protein in your urine.

Best to get your urine and Bp checked. X

I'm 24+2, and this is my second child. Will give the doctors a call. Always feel like I'm a bit of a hypochondriac when it comes to seeing my doctor they always make me feel like I am wasting their time.

Thank you for responding.

Don't feel like your wasting there time. Preeclampsia is a serious condition, iv had it twice and even told that I will get it this pregnancy too! X
