My LO currently sleeps in a cot in our bedroom, but I want to get his room ready so that he can move into it when he is 6 months old. I found the Montessori floor bed idea on the internet and want to do this for my son, although my DH isn't convinced.

What I would like to know is if any of you ladies have tried this, or know someone who has, and how is it working for you? :flower:

No experience of this, but thought i'd bump it for you for others to comment.

I've just googled and tbh i'm not convinced. I don't think cots/cribs are like cages and i use the spave underneath as storage etc so wouldn't really want a floor bed. I know with my LO who is a good sleeper, but with no boundaries she would never go to sleep!

My lo naps on his front on a rug/mat type thing, snuggyrug we call it.. He won't nap on his back (no comments please.. I'm always watching him and can make my own parenting choices!) so his bouncer chair isn't an option and I don't want him in his crib during the day as I like to keep naps very casual when he wants not in the dark etc. I worked in a nursery so sleeping on the floor isn't a strange phenomenon to me (tho nurseries usually do it over a year!), im not interested in doing it at night, the day is just for convenience but yeah, he has no probs with it.. i think it's probably easier to get him to nap as I'm not putting him in something im right by him and he's not confined x
