Our baby was having teats from the hospital and doing ok but these arent reusable, we have tried numerous teats and just wondered why they say you cant use medium or fast flow til 3months+?
He is struggling with the vari flow and slow teats and we are worried he is tiring himself out trying to get milk.... We have tried Dr Browns, TT CTN, cheapo teats, Boots, TT basic teats!!
OH out now trying to get teats that we havent tried yet

was it these shape teats he was having???

no just a standard teat - milupa standard teat if you google it its available from nhs website

errm were they latex teats if they were maybe its the texture of the silicone ones he doesnt like. some bottles such as NUK bottles you can get latex teats for. so maybe try latex teats??? sophia was in the nnu for 5 days and they used the latex NUK teats which she loved but for some reason she was happy with these and the TTctn ones she has now. if you think it is just a flow problem then you can always try faster flow teats i know plenty of people whos babies who are way less than 3 months old are on medium or fast flowing teats and they are fine with them

Hi, my baby used 3+ plus teats when drinking from Tommee tippee and she only 6 weeks, it just suited her, she was getting frustrated with the slower flow. Now she is on comfort milk she needs a bigger flow DR brown teat. She is using level 2 but I have oredred a few level 3's just to see what they are like. It's all just guidlines, your baby will let you know if the bigger flow is too soon, when I used the bigger flow on avent bottles with kitty the milk just poured out of her mouth so I knew it wasn't for her x

thanks, he seemed a lot better with the fast flow teat but was sick about 5mins after the feed! No win situation!

Poor baby, it's so hard isn't it? We went through so many teats and bottles and now we have just had to changed milk as her colic was so nasty, so we are back to changing teats again. Worst thing is in the night because the bedroom is dark and I am relying on landing light I have thought the bottle was going down because she was sucking , only to find the comfort milk has blocked the teat, and by the time I freed it up she was so asleep there was no way she would go back on!! I hope you get it sorted x
