Flu Jab??

My midwife has just phoned me and said that i need another flu jab??
I had a flu jab done in feb this year not long after i found out i was pregnant, yet the Dr has advised that im to get another as its a new strain.

Anyone else having this??

I asked my midwife if I needed one and she said she didn't think so!! I actually want one so was a bit annoyed.

I had one back in feb, but that was the end of flu season..... and my MW told me im to have another next week.

Personally I wouldn't go near the flu jab when pregnant or not, but that's my personal decision... non of our family has them... it's up to you hun if you want to get it or not

They make the flu jabs using the most prominent strains of flu from the previous year so each year's jab is different. You can discuss it further with your midwife or doctor if you're unsure but I don't think it's anything to be concerned about, especially if you were fine after the last jab you had. It's up to you though, not your midwife.

I had mine yesterday due to being really run down and man I wish I didn't I'm sooo ill now its unreal at least in prior years I could take night nurse to troop through it... I'm now lying on sofareally uncomfortable ash ave dead arm severe heartburn and can't seep..

My mw hasn't mentioned it to me. Do you want to have it done again? It's up to you ultimately, she can't make you have it if you don't want to.

Hmmm im undecided, Part of me wants to have it done as with it coming upto flu season and having a baby in a few weeks and a 3yr old it would be a nightmare for me to get ill with flu when i would have them both to look after , plus i wouldnt want to pass flu onto my babies.
I didnt have any effects from the flu jab i had back in feb x

Hmm, toughie! Are you normally sick a lot? If you pick up flu easily maybe get it done again, but if you're rarely ill with colds and bugs then skip it?
