Has anyone had this? I have been super nauseous, puking, had chills, am sweating like crazy, and my back hurts. I also have had some sort of fluid flow down my leg yesterday and today. I think if it was amniotic fluid it would constant and it would gush if I was laying down and suddenly stood up? That's what I've heard anyway. I'm just wondering all this because the EXACT same thing happened to my friend and she delivered her babies at 35 weeks. I will be 35 weeks on Wednesday... Maybe I'm just paranoid? Lol

I've read that nausea, diarrhea, and those type of symptoms can often occur before labor. (This is my first pregnancy so I'm no expert, but I was actually looking at labor signs yesterday and read about it.) If you think your water may have broken, you should go get checked out, that way you can have some reassurance! Good luck and I hope all is well.

Thank you!! Yes I'm going into labour and delivery in a couple of hours. I just had to find child care for my daughter first! Hope all is well!

I've had ALL these symptoms for 2 weeks (apart from the run of fluid however it has been very wet down there tmi) funnily enough since just before 35 weeks still no baby, something to do with hormones gearing up for labour apparently x

I had flu like symptoms for a couple days before each of my deliveries. And with both my water broke before labor started. Once my waters went, my headache, body aches, back ache, runny nose, etc all STOPPED. How odd! I remember w DS2 I asked ppl if flu like symptoms were a "sign" of impending labor...i went back through my pregnancy journal with DS1 and found that i had the same exact symptoms!

I have read that it can be one sign of labor approaching. I normally wouldn't buy into signs and stuff, as they can be so variable, but i can honestly say that im 2 for 2 for feeling that way a couple of days before my water broke! TBH i'll probably be waiting to get the flu-like symtpoms this time around too

Everything is fine!! Apparently near the end of pregnancy, your discharge becomes really runny and sometimes it seems like your water has broken! I feel like an idiot but it's better to be safe than sorry!!

better safe than sorry!

But to answer your original question, flu symptoms can be a sign prior to water breaking-at least it was for me :D

but im glad that all is well and baby is staying put a bit longer.
dont feel embarassed, you are ensuring a healthy baby <3

Very true!! When they checked me I was like leaking everywhere! They said I may just need to wear a panty liner for the rest of this! I never had this with my daughter so it was very weird for me haha! How long did you have these symptoms? How long before your water broke?

let me check my journal. :coffee:
i have an idea of how many days it was with each one, but i want to be articulate since i was asking others the same question.

Okay thank you!! I want her here soon haha! Just not too soon! I move in like 9 days haha

DS1:

EDD: August 23, 2010
Born: September 4th, 2010

*runny nose and watery eyes started August 28th
*Body Aches started August 30th. (flu like back ache and headache w a stiff neck)

all of that lasted until my water broke and then everything disappeared. My water broke at 3:45AM on September 3rd. He arrived Sept. 4th, 2010 @ 9:17am

DS2

EDD: February 23, 2012
Born: February 12th, 2012

*Body aches (flu like, headache, light sensitivty, stiff neck) started on Febuary 7th
* More Body aches (lower back ache but more like that of flu and less like that of pregnancy, thighs, legs, and achy pelvis)
no runny nose or anything like that this time around.

Water broke at 7:35AM on Feb. 11th. All of this suddenly stopped. Baby was born February 12th at 3:03pm.

hope this helps :)

Both times my kids arrived during low barrametric pressure storms as well. I really think that contributed to my waters breaking before labor started. One was born during a hurricane and the other during a very cold winter day ( a snow storm happend in the following day). This thing was surprisingly accurate: https://www.intellicast.com/Health/Labor.aspx

Oh wow!! Thank you so much!! I mean I hope she doesn't come too early but I am so excited that it could mean she comes a little early!! Ill be full term in two weeks!! I also move in 12 days so... Hopefully I get everything ready by then haha!'
