Hi just popping over from First tri. We booked a holiday up before I fell pregnant, it's only short haul about 2-3 hours I think. The airline flies up to 36 weeks but I was wondering if anyone has any experience of this situation and how easy it is to get a mw/gp letter if all is ok within the pregnancy. I'm hopeful that as iv had two uncomplicated pregnancies I will have no issues this pregnancy.

I was going to fly at 28 weeks and my specalist said to wait till after 30 weeks but would write me a letter if need be but most airlines are fine to let you fly in that time but will do a check for insurance reasons

I flew 25-27 weeks (5hours) and took a letter just in case.

Really easy to get, I printed them off, made GP appointment & he just signed them.

I just flew at 32 weeks with a Drs letter and the airline never asked for it. I had complications last time too but this pregnancy has been fine. I did find it very uncomfortable but my flight was 6 hours. Sure you'll manage a much shorter flight. :)
