FOB and his mother

FOB sent me a letter back last week basically saying he didn't know his babys due date... the letter kept changing from her being born to asking if she was born. He explained again he had money put aside and then said he had bought tonnes of things for LO himself including "some useful items." He then ended the letter saying what he always does say once every few months, how he wants to be involved etc etc.

So at first I was really pissed off and then that began to wear off and yesterday morning even thought about replying. I was going to try and be nice about everything and, against better judgement, include him again in things. I have never stopped him being involved in any part of the pregnancy at all... even on Boxing Day I gave him a list of items etc and told him he could go shopping with his mother as by way of including her in everything too.

His mother then sent me a message yesterday which upset me. Not so much the fact it was her as today I have looked at it again and calmed down but more the fact FOB has lied again about buying items for the baby as I know he lied about having a new job. He wouldn't even know where to start buying baby things, when I went to visit him he wouldn't even go into a baby shop. So his mother would have had to have helped him. She clearly says she hasn't bought anything and that it is down to me because I never sent her a list??!!?

I am just so fed up with all the little lies and the belief I keep, for some unknown reason, putting in FOB to change etc. I find it oh so frustrating. Re-reading the message she sent and knowing what she is like I feel a bit like I am trying to be manipulated.

I posted about this on third tri but wanted to keep you lovely ladies up to date with "progress."

just give up trying to include them they clearly cba and obviously they know where you are so if they want to be involved let them make the effort to come to you
