FOB Progress

Suddenly FOB is changing his tune, wants to come to 4d scan with me and now wants to be at the birth and take paternity leave.

I am pleased, but worried he will let me down and doesnt mean any of it. So many chances given, if he messes this up and lets me down when I go into labour, there will be no more chances.

I have been preparing myself all the way through to do it alone (see my who was your birth partner thread) and am fine with it, I dont mind him being there, dont think its something he should miss. Just dont want him to say he will be there and then change his mind at the last minute as thats the kind of upset I can do without whilst in labour.

Think I will have a serious talk with him about it after the scan so he knows if he messes this up than that is it!

Yeah, definitely talk to him and make sure he sticks to it.

Have a back up just in case.

Well he just called me to tell me he may have given me an STD, so I'm off to hospital to get tested this afternoon. Scrap everything I just said above, there is no progress, he can go to hell

Sorry hun...hindsight is always 20/20, but with my FOB, I should have documented all his "good intentions," because he always disappointed me. He also told me he wanted to be at ultrasounds, etc and I'd get excited, thinking he was finally stepping up...but he'd just end up standing me up. Best thing is to let him know...then make note if he doesn't show.

And I would document the STD too, if it ends up being true. What an ass.

So upset, just been tested and had to sign a disclaimer incase it causes preterm labour, I'm only 28 weeks he cant come out yet

My prelim results are clear, but need to go back next week for final results, if i am clear and he is clear it means his ex is lying to get back at him for them breaking up. If I go into preterm labour or have risked it for a lie from some stupid little girl, I wont be held accountable for my actions.
