Follicle growth after trigger??

Hi everyone,

I'm currently on day 11 of stims (menopur, bravelle, ganerilix). I have 11 follies that are 15mm-18mm and 9 follies that are 12mm. If my re decides that I should trigger tonight, will the 12mm follies mature by the time ER comes? I really want to do another day of stims so the others could catch up but of course that depends on my e2 levels. I think yesterday my e2 level was at 1,400. **They've had me on 75iu of bravelle plus menupor since I started stimming.

Any kind of insight would be appreciated.

I don't know the timing for ER however I know that follies grow about .2 per day. If ER is 3 days after then you may be ok, anything sooner than that I would imagine they would be around 1.6 wish is not likely (but not impossible) to fertilize.

With ivf you sometimes get eggs from follicles that are slightly smaller. I had 28 follicles but a lot of them were around 12 like yours, the day before trigger. A nurse that called me with bloodwork on the final appt before trigger told me she only thought 8 would be mature. however they got 22 eggs, 16 were mature. My e2 was about 2850 the day before trigger. I've heard you can count on each mature egg producing 200 e2. But I don't think it's totally accurate.
It sounds like you have a great number, they will get a final boost to mature them with the trigger. Good luck!

Hi Smurfy!

16 follicles were retrieved, 14 mature, 11 fertilized, transferred 2 perfect blasts and froze 6! Just got my BFP on 4dp5dt (technically 3dp5dt)!!!

Where are you in your cycle?

congratulations thats great news, i bet you cant believe it.

Friday all of a sudden i had 28 foliclies, approx 8 in the 16-18m range, i had a blood test and then went a head with egg collection on Monday, 28 eggs of which 22 where the right size, 18 have fertilised and today we have 16 at 2-5 cells 1 at 6 cells and 1 at 7 cells. They are aiming for day 5 transfer but who knows if we will get to blastcysts. I am going back today for scan to check i done have any issues with OHSS, not feeling like i do, just mainly brusing from the op
