Follistim dose seems high? Help?

Hi ladies.

FSH-4.19
AMH-8
E2-36.5

Supposed to start Follistim 225iu and 75 Menopur both today. My RE said I was at a very high risk for OHSS due to AMH/very fertile etc. I have to do IVF because I had my tubes tied.

Worried about OHSS and having to cancel cycle. What do you ladies think?

That not a high dose. It's pretty average. They will check your estrogen and ultrsound in a few days and adjust from there. You are at risk for ohss as 8 is a very high Amh so probably will respond well with lots of follicles. If it looks like you will be at risk then the dr will advise you to freeze all which isn't bad as FETs are very Successful.

You're welcome! Good luck! I've been on menopur 150 and gonal f 300 for most of my cycles, sometimes adjusted down to 225. Amh ranges from 2-4.
