following your face/toy

Hey all. My preemie is now 7 weeks. She was born at 34 weeks. Anyway i had my 6 weekly check on wed and Dr asked if she was following my face when i move. The thing is she doesn't and I've tried for an hour to get her to follow a toy but she's not doing that either. When did everyone elsrs premises start to do those?. Many thanks x

My lo was also a 34 weeker. Remember your daughter is only 1 week adjusted, I would be shocked if she was tracking you, or anything else, just yet. My daughter does do it but I can't remember when she started.

I know it's hard to remember to go by te adjusted age, I posted on it recently, but you will drive yourself crazy with worry (I do) if you don't use her adjusted age AND remind yourself they all do things at their own timeframe, even full term babies.

My LO is a 28 weeker and he didnt start tracking ( as in turning his head to follow) until 4 months actual, 1 month adjusted.
