for any1 formula feeding :)

The only reason Aptamil isnt' available at hospital is because it's more expensive than the other 2! As the other posters said, it's what Neo Natal use and is the closest to breastmilk.

We had Aptimal at our hospital :)

We used Apitamil up until about a month ago when it suddenly started making him quite sick.It coincided with him eating more solids so we have now changed to Hipp Organic follow on milk and he is fine with this.xx

I probably wouldn't be of much help as I am in the US and our formula brands are different, but my LO is on Enfamil Gentlease for fussiness and gas. I'm not sure, but I think it and Aptimal are similiar to each other.

My LO started on the basic Enfamil Lipil, but it gave him bad tummy problems, so we switched him to the gentlease at 3 weeks old and he has been on it since without any issues.

Chloe is on Cow and Gate hungry baby, we originally had her on Hipp but at the time they didn't do a hubgry baby version so we switched to C&G.

Dom was started on aptamil, but after the disgusting price rise I decided to swap to Hipp organic. Harrison had been on that when I started to bottlefeed him, so I thought it would be fine for Dom too. Hes fine on it, and its great that they have a hungrier baby formula now too.

I use aptimil as I'd always heard it was the closest to breatmilk

No problems so far :flower:

(They had it in my hospital too.)

i'm currently using cow and gate with my youngest and had no problems so far.
with my middle two we used farleys now known as nurture and had no problems with this either it's just expensive and my eldest was on sma and we had problems with this one and twelve years on she has the continous problem and doctors say it's from what milk she was on she has really bad gas (wind)

That's what we use too! We started on Similac Advance (well, started on EBM but started combination feeding early on) because that's what the hospital uses and recommended, but the Enfamil Gentlease seems to be much easier on Carmen's tummy. She's still gassy, but it comes out now rather than staying in and causing her pain. :)

Jacob has SMA hungry baby and loves it :) deff no problems with his bowels :-p

Jack is on Apitmal since switching over from BF - no reason in particular why we chose that- we just did and it seems to be working for him. My HV said it was the closest to BM though when I told her- not sure what they mean when they said closest though.

I think it must be the most popular in my area though as it seems to be ALWAYS SOLD OUT at my local sainsburys and tescos. I now have at least 4 tubs in the cupboard so we don't risk running out.

cow and gate, no idea why we chose it, OH did he went out at 4am to get it when I couldn't handle the pain of b/fing anymore and LO crying lal night because he could latch and get anything and thats the one we stuck with as he seems happy on it.

Im no use really but connors on Neocate, its for babies with cows milk protein allergy

Jack is an aptilmal baby but Lily just wouldn't entertain it! I tried Sma gold on her but it made her poo all hard :( so she was on cow n gate comfort which suited her really well :)

If that doesn't show every baby is different I don't know what will LOL!
My HV said Sma have changed their formula now so it's a lot better. xxx

wen i stopped exclsivly bfing mw told me aptimal was best.. luisa didnt poo at all! sowe tried cow and gate and she was fine

now she only has formula and is on cow and gate follow on - again no probs... planning to switch to c&g toddler milk next month too xx

I use nurture, I believe its quite new as not many people have heard of it! Its came highly reccommended by several friends so I thought I would give it a try.

I started on SMA but had nothing but trouble with it, my GP and HV said its a hard milk to digest, so i changed to aptamil comfort while his colic was bad and then changed to cow and gate, the change was amazing with cow and gate!

And advice from my HV --- for those of you using a comfort milk for colic take your baby off it when they hit 12 weeks and the colic goes - its full of sugar and chances are your baby will grow up with a sweet tooth!

Im so glad i read this thread by the looks of things the majority have had issues with sma! so for me that rules that out. My LO is currently on prescription nutri prem2 and iv been wondering what to put her on next. Aptimil seems to be quite good a few HV have reccomended xx
