For anyone that's claiming MA

After finding out i didn't qualify for SMP by 2 weeks 4days (grrrr) i have filled out the MA1 form and sent it off today with all the correct documents so i can claim maternity allowance when i finish work in 6 weeks.

I was wondering how long it took until you heard something back off them??

only took a few weeks for me to hear not entitled to MA but was SMP. Would have been better off with MA though

I still havent heard yet its been about 5 weeks now! going to ring today!

i sent my form on the 1st feb. called a week later and they received it but not looked yet. Then called monday of this weel so 2 weeks afyer sending and have been told i qualify and a letter is on its way (not arrived yet) I have money on its way in now should be in by tuesday and then more on the 1st march then 2 weekly. So mine has been quick. But my mat leave has started. There are 3 different places we send out forms depending on where in the country we live. So dont no if mine has smaller wait

Just spoken to them! I sent it in Jan through my local JCP, but MA didnt recieve it untill the 8th Feb!! ( I think maybe the local JCP forgot to send it for a while!) So they havent even looked at it yet, but she said they get through them within 15 working days so I should hear soonish!!

letter just arrived. said payment in acc 5 days after 16th feb. so mine has taken about 3 weeks all in
