I am personally completely terrified after my first experience. So today, I went looking for something to help me out. Talking about it hasn't helped, and posting about it really hasn't much, either.
So I read all these studies about the benefits of pre-surgical hypnosis. Of course, I can't afford a hypnotist, so I went searching for free downloads of sessions designed for upcoming surgeries. And I found a few. I'm not sure about the rules of this board and whether or not I'm allowed to post their locations. If I am, let me know, and I will for anyone who wants them.
If I can't post them, then do a google search for pre surgery hypnosis downloads. That's how I found them.
I just did the first 20 minute session and I feel 1000000x better already. I can see this helping a lot with my fear and anxiety about the surgery. Maybe now I can actually get back to being excited about meeting my baby in 10 days!!
