for those who have had their babies

I don't think there's a trend really, my sister and my daughter were early and my mum was induced early with me...but my mum was late...

apparently the length of time you're in labour is hereditary? That does seem to hold true in my family...

Tommy was born the date after his due date, at 40+1 i was woken up around 8 with contractions.
I dnno about how it compares to when i would of been born tho as my mum had placenta previa and had to have a scheduled C section at 38 weeks xxx

I was 3 days late but my mom claims she was in labor the last few weeks but I was breech and had the cord around my neck and never came down (She ended up needing a c-section)

Riley was a week early but then again I was induced so  Although before they even induced me they were hooking me up to the monitors and I was already getting contractions.. So who knows what would of happened if I wasn't induced

 you guys really dont have it easy in labour do you?! x

Nope!:haha:
Worst part is.. I was in the exact same labor room as her when she was in labor with me!!
Once they told me I needed a c-section we told my nurse about how this was the same room she ended up needing a c-section in with me and she's like "You should of demanded a new room from the beginning then!"

We both had the same doctor as well.. Ofcorse mine didn't end up delivering Riley a guy on call did..

What are the chances?

Omg, that must have been so weird!!!

Oh, I hope not for my sake. Within one hour of arriving at the hospital my mum had me! She must have been in labor for longer than that, but the contractions were apparently so irregular she just thought braxton hicks. My brother was pretty much the same. No time for drugs or anything, and I hear the shorter you are in labor the more INTENSE the contractions are!

I'm nervous now...

Ohh if only that was true!!! My mum had me and my brother were born within hours of her realising she was in labour!

Ive never heard of there being any connection between the 2. I know the babies weight can have something to do with yours an oh's though.

My mum had my sisters and I all on time, I had my son 5 days late.

My mom was induced with me for 5 days (16 hours on, 8 hours off). I was supposed be 2 pounds (IUGR) and the stress of drugs or c-section could have killed me. They told her that I would be taken out in 1 hour, and I was born on my due date. She was in the military (Air Force) and in Japan, so I don't know. She has the paperwork still.

My middle sister was 18 days late and born two hours after she went into labor and my youngest sister was 5 days late and also a 2 hour labor/birth. My son was 3 days late and I did 12 hours.

hey hun, unfortunatley no, my mum was on her due date with me, 5 weeks early with my brother and a few days early with my sister and i was 9days late by induction!

Connor was 16 days early and i was 14 days late and my sister was 14 days later

I think my mum had me late, and Robyn was 11 days late. I don't think there is any connection to whether babies are born late or early in families. You could have one baby who arrives early, and another who is very late. It's all very hit and miss and depends on the individual baby, I don't think there is any logic really to it, just when bubba feels like getting a wriggle on.
