For those worried about breast feeding after c section

After my emergency c-section with DD1, I tried to BF when back on the labour ward (after being in recovery room) but I was in no fit state to feed - had barely any control over what I was doing as I was exhausted (58hour labour before the EMCS) LO had her first feed of formula from Daddy whilst I slept! I was so worried about missing out on vital skin to skin contact and first BF, but everything was fine! Once we got onto the ward and we tried skin to skin and BF (with help from MV for latch), LO took to breast straight away and we had no problems at all! MV's were fab and helped with ideas on positions to feed ect :flower:
