Former breastfeeders - a question if I may...

Hi ladies,

I stopped breastfeeding last week and was advised to express off a little when i feel engorged/uncomfortable...However i have never felt engorged/uncomfortable?!?!?! Which im quite surprised at, but anyway...

Should i still be expressing a little off or just dont do anything unless im uncomfortable?

I have been expressing a little of each day, as tried cold turkey and it was agony.
I would say if your not in any pain, maybe leave it alone and let it dry up hun.

i just left well alone as i had no discomfort, i never even leaked... don't think i made much, no wonder she lost weight.

Yeah this is what I am thinking, bless them, still at least we did something about it and they are getting what they need now

that's it. i never thought i'd have this problem, bought a load of bf friendly clothes and bra's and fed her religiously pretty much every hour for a week, (got 5 hours sleep over 5 days) only for her to lose more and more weight. Ill never knock ff'ing, without it I'd never have the contented little baby I have now!

At least we don't have the pain of our milk drying up... or coming in for that matter! x

No I had no disomfort but I had low supply anyway. I'd say unless you are feeling uncomfortable then don't bother.

When I had blocked ducts I would massage boobs in a hot bath.. This is always a good way if you don't want to express too much

I never got engorged either and the nurse recomended i keep pumping but i didn't i just left it alone.
