Formula and Tesco ??

I've had to exchange tins of formula in the past in Tesco and had no problems either. Hope you get somewhere with your letter.

its up to each shop - i took some back to asda without a receipt and they changed it no probs!

Thats fair enough, but surely if one Tesco takes it back, they all should? or vice versa!?

not had a reply yet, although i wasnt expecting one until tomorrow at the earliest anyway

i think it just depends which manager trained them! dont see what the issue is really when its sealed! will be interesting to see what response you get from your letter

Its probably because they arent allowed to resell formula if its been out of the store, just incase its been tampered with. I would have thought they would do it as a gesture of goodwill but legally they dont have to do anything.

We had to swap formula before when OH bought the wrong type but it was about ten minutes from getting it home to taking it back and he swapped it at the Asda without trouble.

They are used to him though, he's also taken back the wrong type of nappies on more than one occasion and the wrong sized baby clothes and the wrong wipes (Joseph has sensitive skin and I get the sensitive wipes for him).

There's one checkout woman who comments if he buys anything alone now, asking if he's sure and suggesting he rings me to check before she rings it through!

But they are usually fine and have never argued about anything we've needed to return.

Well still havent had a reply from Tesco but I needed more formula so I decided to give the swap another go...
This time,the girl who was serving me appeared fine with it,even though the woman behind her was screwing up her face and shaking her head.and another woman came over and 'discretly' tried to tell the girl not to accept it back,but thankfully,she turned around and basically told them they were both wrong.lol
So,i have my formula now.little miffed that iv not had a response,but oh well!!
Now im just waiting to hear a response from a b&q complaint I made coz I need my shed!!!im not usually this complaining...Noodles set me off
