For those who Formula Feed, how much does it cost you?

I appreciate it will vary dependent upon how much baby drinks and the brand of formula etc, but looking for all answers really to get some figures :)

This is my 1st and totally clueless!

Thanks girls! X

Hi hun, my LO is on cow and gate comfort. Since she was around a month old we have gone through 1 tub a week so its around £10 a week. At the very start it was 1 tub every 5 or 6 days as she took less but feeds were random so there was more waste. She takes 5x 7oz bottles a day now at 4.5 months and isnt being weaned xx

I'm using sma and we go through about a tin a week but lo is on 4 x 8oz bottles aday, when she was on 3/4 oz it lasted about 2 weeks and the tins vary in price where ever I buy, such as yesterday I had to buy a tin from a chemist and it cost me £10 but in asda and tesco etc its only around £9 or less for a tin, hope that helps xxx

We use Hipp organic at £7.66 a box and use nearly two boxes a week. I bf for 7 months but imagine we would have used more if ff from birth.

We use cow and gate as it suits Maci best. Tubs are £7.99 and we go through about four a month. Not sure how much she takes in a 24 hour period but we tend to need a new one every friday!

We use Aptamil, which is £9.49 a tin. A tin lasts about a week. We also use ready-made cartons for when out and about so I'd say around £12 a week maybe? We also use cold water sterilising, so we need to buy Milton tablets but that only works out at about £1 a week.

$200/month Canadian for Enfamil Soy liquid concentrate. Never again!!!

We use Aptamil and I would say we use just over a box a week at £9.49 a box so I would say around £50 / £60 a month. We are feeding two babies though so use more:haha:. They have around 4oz bottles 6/7 times a day each.

When Isabelle was younger than 6months we used cow and gate comfort which was around £9.49 a week I think so say just under £40 a month.

When she got to 6months we switched her to the follow on milk which is £7.99 a week so a bit cheaper a tub will last us about a week and a half now x

$22 a week. I swear formula in the UK was way cheaper... I'm sure I never spent more than £10 a week on Aptamil!

So far $25/week for Similac powdered formula. LO is going through a container a week & it's only going to get worse lol

Does it increase as they get older?

How often does the milk change? Like for example, newbon milk lasts so long and then then move on to the next stage formula?

It's all new to me, sorry if its a stupid question x

I'm in NZ and we have started using an organic formula called Bellamy's organic. It is $39 per tin, we go through about 1 tin a week. Will be cheaper when we move to Australia though as it is made in Australia

I use 5 tubs in a month C&G comfort so £50 a month x

..oh and the price shouldnt increase when they are on 6month + milk. They do deals on follow up milk too, which theyre not allowed to do on newborn formula (breast is best policy).

£11 a week here which is one tub of aptamil and 2 or 3 cartons. when she is weaned at 6 months it will go down as she will drink less. will probably be about £30 a month then.
