Found out I'm pregnant but I had a period last month?!

The weirdest thing is happening... I just took a pregnancy test because I'm 2 days late and it was positive. However... my husband has been away and I haven't had sex ALL month. I had a period in March and took a test the morning that AF showed up even and it was negative. That would mean I was about 8 weeks pregnant but bled for about 5 days when I was expecting my period last month. I'm so confused! Does this happen? Should I be worried? Thanks.

It could possibly have been implantation bleed. I would contact doctor to make appointment and let them know your worries. Congratulations

It was really heavy though and lasted for 5 days! I'm breastfeeding so maybe that has something to do with it? I'm going to call the doctor and make an appointment asap

Id definately call the doctors office and schedule an appointment! If your husband has been away, its completely possible the bleeding yoy had last month was break through bleeding or heavy implantation. My mom didnt find our about her third pregnancy until she was nearly five.months gone because she had what she thought was a normal period every month!

i am having the same case. i was also having bleeding last month as normal periods but this month not. so did urine pregnancy test and it came positive. later in TVS and bhcg test my preg showd about 8 weeks but according to my LMP it should be abt 4 weeks.

It's definitely possible to have what look like periods all the way through pregnancy; which is why some women don't realise they're pregnant. the only way you'll know your gestation is to ask your doctor for a scan.
