Hi ladies. I have been on a close watch cuz I have had a previous ectopic pregnancy. I went and have been doing my betas every two days. The first two went like this 25-77, 77-243. Today I had some stabbing pain on right side. So I went back to ER, and in three days from last beta my tests went up to 1622! This made me feel AMAZING. Except, when they did an ultrasound there was nothing. The tech did it really quick!! Maybe 7 mins. I'm going to be 5 weeks tomorrow. So, I'm freaking out! Please share your advice, and positive stories! We are doing another scan in two days. I'm scared shitless, because they made it seem like I was doomed

You generally can't see anything until hcg is around 3000

Mine was 1300 at 4 weeks and nothing can be seen then. Your still early. When was your LMP

My hcg chart says yolk sac visible once hcg is 5,500+

Way too early to see anything... don't freak out.

My last lmp was March 5, 2014. I am 5 weeks today! Thanks ladies!

You won't see anything, even with a high hCG level, until at least 6 weeks. At 6 weeks the baby and gestational sac are only around the size of a pea so it's tiny tiny tiny. I wouldn't worry as your hCG is going up normally. I had cramps on the right side and was scanned early due in part to the pains. (I also needed to be dated as my lmp was a miscarriage) The ultrasound showed a baby in utero and nothing on the right side to explain the pains. I had a normal corpus luteum cyst in the right fallopian tube though so the doctor said it might just have been that cyst growing a little or something that made me feel the pains.

I had my blood and a scan on same day.

Hcg was 18707 and they only saw a gestational sac, nothing else.... Scheduled me in for a laparoscopy as thought it was ectopic...(26dpo) They I only saw a yolk sac and tiny HB when hcg got to 27000!! 2 days later! Even stumped my doctor!

Wow!! I went in two days later, and we saw what looked to be two sacs. Neither had the yolk yet, so we are gonna go back in three days. Doctor said it could still be ectopic and just be pseudo-gestational sacs

There's not always a direct correlation with hcg numbers and development. You can have two women at 6 weeks with completely different hcg quants but both still see the same development. Sometimes the little buggers just want to bake at their own pace and not follow charts or averages lol. I was being scanned every two days early in with this pregnancy because my previous was ectopic and they saw an empty sac until 6 weeks two days and we were certain of the dates.
