Hi all,
I'm new around here, fresh off of a round of "Never ever Google". I'm hoping I can get some real life perspective to my situation, and not just what Google says.
My husband is 40, I'm 32. We've been trying since last year to get pregnant. We're going for the initial consultation next week to a fertility center. My OB said because of our ages we don't have to wait the full year, and I've noticed some issues with my cycle anyways. My LP is too short (9-10 days), and my periods are about a day and a half, with 4 days of spotting.
But the problem right now that has me in panic is my husband. I knew he'd had a cyst on one of his testicles, and it took years for him to pluck up the courage to go to the doctor. Last night when we were filling out our new patient papers, I also found out he had surgery for an undescended testicle when he was 4. He was assured by his doctor that the cyst wouldn't affect his fertility, but of course I rushed right to Doctor Google to look it up, now I've got myself convinced this isn't going to happen for us without IVF or a donor.
Has anyone gone on to conceive after their man having problems like these? I'm freaking out over here.
