the baby has not been very active the last two days. it only moves a couple of times a day. it worries me as i havent had any really strong kicks for a while.
i took a few min to lie down now and see it if would move, and it did move a few times. my friend told me that in her classes they told them to go to the hospital if the baby didnt move that often. like a few times in the day wasnt enough.

i am worried now. not just cos of her, im just worried because i am not feeling that much movement and i am not really that active- i sit a lot.

what should i do, i have the doc on tuesday. and its not like i havent felt anything at all, but i cant say what i have felt has been so significant.
Am i worrying for nothing?

I had this same worry a week or 2 ago. Mine has his very active days and then had a day or two of being really quiet but once he went 3 days where I hardly felt a thing and I was very worried. Then he got kicking again.

I think because you're still only 20 weeks it's quite normal for baby to have long periods of rest. You only start counting the movements later on. If you're really worried you could call a midwife who will probably check the heartbeat for you though.

im under a obgyn so i dont have a midwife to call, i can go into the clinic and see if the nurse will check for me but i dont want to be paranoid. i feel so confused about it.

You're not that far along where counting kicks is detrimental. I had a scare like that last month, exactly at 20 weeks and thats what Ive been told by my doctor, but it doesnt hurt to check, especially to put yourself at ease.

I wouldnt panic. A few kicks are still a sign baby is well and moving. I'd wait till tuesday and see. Or google it - I bet there are lots of stories just like yours.:hugs:

I wouldn't panic hun! Babies have their up and down moments and you lil one was probably super active before, and now is probably feeling tired. You're not at the stage yet where they suggest the kick counts per hour. I think back at 20 weeks they said only to worry if I did not feel "ANYTHING" over the course of 2 days. Provided that I was even able to feel lil one move by then.

I wouldn't worry sweetheart, at 20 weeks the baby still has alot of space to play, its normally after 28+ weeks that they tell you to keep a count of movements

dunno im still worried guys, i just cant not.. i went down to the clinic and they dont have a monitor they said if im worried i should go to a different one that does have. i dont know what to do. so far its about 4 or 5 movements not very strong ones today and thats all

Love it is totally normal. My baby has really active days, I swear the other day it hardly stopped moving. But it also has days where it is not very active as well. I was talking to my midwife and she said that is totally normal. Especially at this stage in our pregnancy. Some days the baby will just sleep and sleep, remember is has a very big job right now.

Oh and it is hard not to worry. Last night, I was looking at my belly and my linea nigra seem to have disappeared. I started to freak, I was so worried. I had never heard of it disappearing during pregnancy. I just thought, oh no my hormones are dropping, this is the start of something being really wrong. Well it must have been the light, because the line is just as dark as it had been. Try not to let the worries get to you.

It is normal hon. I remember when I first started feeling my babies movements and at the earlier stage, they were infrequent and a day or two would go by when I would feel nothing. At week 20 your baby is 6.46 inches long and weighs about 10 grams and does have a lot of room in there to move around without you feeling the movements. As the baby grows, the movements will definitely be more prominent and frequent.

I know that it is very hard not to worry, but it sounds like it's totally normal. Like the others said I don't think you count the movements until later on. But if it would make you feel better (don't need a stressed mommy) than maybe you can find another clinic that does have a monitor? Not sure if that's a possiblity or not?

im still not feeling kicks my baby tends to squirm more then kick and alsomy midwife says my baby tends to sit far back in my uterus xx
