Glad to hear everyone is good!
Brandy - FX for you!! That is very exciting
I had my appointment today. It went really well! Here's how it went.. sorry that it is an essay.
Let me start off by saying that the Dr (I will call her Dr.C) is the most bizarre person ever!! She has zero manners, zero personality and actually really weird looking (imagine skinny lady with short hair meets Albert Einstein??) it was hard to concentrate on what she was saying!! But whateves, she seem like she knew her stuff and that is all that matters.
OH (I will call him K) and I got there around 9:45 (appt was scheduled for 10). I saw the nurse alone, she weighed me, took my blood pressure, heart rate and I gave a urine sample. Then we waited for at least 30 mins. Around 10:45 we met with Dr C. she read over the forms we filled out, which had medical history, how long we had been trying for etc. She asked a few questions as she read over it and then she brought out the list of tests.
Here is what I am in for...
Day 1 of my cycle (which should be July 28th) I have to phone the clinic and make an appointment for CD3.
On CD3 I go to the clinic for blood work and an ultrasound evaluation
Then everyday from CD9 to CD15 (or until I ovulate), I have to go in and have another ultrasound and blood work to see how my eggies are developing. (everyday!?! that is 6 days in a row! even if it falls on a weekend)
Then sometime between CD5 -CD11 I have to have squeeze in a HSG scan.
and the 7 days after I ovulate I will be scheduled for an Endometrial Biopsy/3D ultrasound , where they will take a sample from my uterus and determine if it is hormonally prepared to accept a fertilized egg.
K only has to have 2 SA tests. At different times of the month. He can do them at home and drop them off within 30 mins. oh, and we have to have an hour with a counselor to review our jobs and life and see if we are stressed out.
Once the tests are completed, we will meet with DR. C to discuss the results and the treatments best suited.
I am so so so pleased that it is moving along so quickly! I cannot believe that I have to fit all of that in next month, but very happy that they don't
wait around and drag their feet. All test and scans are done in the same building so not a ton of running around. So relived that we have direction!
And so far, so so pleased with the clinic
Has anyone had any of these tests?
