Fun but none physical birthday party - 5 year old

I've made another thread about how my dd (nearly 5) fractured her elbow at soft play if anyone wants the background. It's her birthday in 7 weeks and she's likely to still have wires in her arm from surgery, she might still have the cast on. We had a birthday party planned which would have been really nice but it involves a playground/soft play and it's going to be beyond her at that point. I still want her to do something really fun (it's not going to be easy couple of months for her coming up) but it needs to be non physical. Even hiring a hall I think is out of the question because kids naturally run about, play games and get silly when high on party vibes and sugar. I'm looking for alternative ideas! She deserves a bit of spoiling bless her, but I don't know what.

My daughter is having a teddy bear picnic party. Maybe something like that?

I like the teddy bears picnic idea too. Would she be up to bowling if they had access to the slopes to help her or would that still be too much? Or could you try an art and craft type party where you'd probably still need a hall but set tables up as different making stations and combine that with some gentle party games like pass the parcel or pin the tail on the donkey etc?

Aww your poor dd hope she is ok. What about- Pottery painting, t shirt painting, pamper party (hair: nails etc), ds has been to an animal party where they have animals for them to pet

Cinema party real thing or homemade!

I did a homemade one once where i stopped the film half way through and came in with a trolley of hot dogs, ice cream and popcorn..

A pamper party maybe? See if any salons will do a few of the girls nails and a mini facial or something? Or a tea party, or trip to ice cream parlour like creams?

Movie theaters do birthday parties. A lot of pottery painting places do parties, and painting on canvas places. Some pizza places will do parties where they let the kids make their own pizzas, then they will bake them for the kids.

We just had a party for DS and got a magician he was fantastic! He kept the kids (3-4 yr olds) entertained for 40 minutes they were roaring with laughter and completely encapsulated the whole time. We did it at our house in our living room and then we had some party food. everyone had a lovely time and my son felt special as he was involved in a couple of tricks and allowed to have the rabbit on his lap and stroke it with his friends. Really really glad we booked him. We had Micky the magician....no idea what areas he covers but he was awesome xx
