So basically I had found some things on the net that I thought were awesome presents and that my OH didnt have...he is a techie sorta guy. Anyways I had 5 things and i showed them to him to see what he thought about them and if they were things he would be interested in. And basically he said he had all of them in some version or another or else they were "old techie things that were being phased out."

I'm screwed. I cant find ANYTHING that he likes and I really want to get him something that he'll think is REALLY COOL.

i always struggle, he's no help when i ask him what he wants he just replies nothing really :growlmad:

ive given up with paul lol, i buy him sweets / clothes / whichever computer game he is after / smellies

You know what? He may have actually done you a favour. If he is that particular about his tech stuff, maybe you need to look at things that he doesn't think about enough: wardrobe, nice foods, nice toiletries, etc
Beyond being a tech kind of guy, what sort of things is he into?
My husband loves horror flicks (I think because he was born so close to Hallowe'en, he has a special affinity for anything scary or gorey) and zombie movies in particular, so I use that to grab a few fun things for him. You would be surprised how many bizarre books on zombies have been written and how many ridiculous zombie toys exist!
Is your guy into anything fun and campy like that?
Don't forget that a stocking can be full of nicer versions of everyday things: fancy shaving cream, his favourite razor blades, a luxe pair of socks or undies, - all that sort of stuff does get appreciated by men, even if they don't show it. Take a look at his closet and see if there are favourite items that need replacing or updating. That might help you.
And there is always the old standby: a few gift cards so he can have the fun of browsing somewhere that he likes?
Don't forget experiences, either! Movie tickets, a skydiving package, a night out with you to a favourite restaurant, followed by a naughty night at home?
It doesn't have to be stuff, you know. And in the end, you can only try your best. If he acts like an ingrate, his next gift can be a swift kick! :)

that was an awesome response haha it helped me and isnt even my post!
my OH is specific about what he wants so i don't have too hard of a time though

Does he have a close friend who maybe likes the same things... cause they might be able to give you an insight into 'what's the coolest thing you could get him' :) just an idea xx
