i juat found out yesterday that im 4 weeks 3 days pregnant i've been TTC for 4 years would be 5 on the 10th of this month, :cloud9:

well tonight i had ham & pineapple pizza,& garlic mayo

i totally forgot that your not meant to eat mayo ( i usually have this with everything )

now i gotta remember but do u think that i'd be ok with the bit ive taken tonight ?

its so worrying about taking it and then realising afterwards

Shop-bought mayonnaise is generally made from pasteurised egg and therefore should be safe for pregnant women to eat..

homemade you have to stay away from x

hopefully the garlic is made from pasturised mayo then! :)

thankyou for your reply

Where did the mayo come from? Any mayo from a shop or takeaway wouldn't be homemade so therefore fine to eat.

check the bottle, generally if it is handmade or homemade it would normally say or perhaps have a warning on it saying made from unpasturised eggs. mass produced shop stuff is fine such as hellmans xkx

If you ate it in a restaurant just make sure you ask next time if its pasteurized. I work in an italian restaurant and i actually eat the stuff with everything!! lol

a little bit would not have done any damage huni :hugs: try not stress xxx

thank you hun :) i tried for 5 years and now all i do is worry because ive never been pregnant before lol :)

im sure the lil bit wont have done anything! :) some people dont even know there pregnant yet and are eating everything i suppose :)

Even if it was homemade and unpasteurised, the chances of it doing anything bad are so tiny anyway. UK eggs are generally very safe, it's just a precaution to avoid them.
