Gas pain maybe?

I had my c section September 9, everything went well and I'm healing nicely! The only painful issue I've been having is these AWFUL sharp pains in my bum when I go to bathroom (#1 and #2) it feels like gas pains because I feel a bit better when I pass gas but it makes me dread going to use the bathroom

Is this normal? What can I do to make it better? It's so awful and honestly it hurts more than my incision! I'm taking stool softeners and GasX to hopefully help get rid of the pain :/. Any advice or comments would be so helpful!!

sounds like gas pain to me. Stool softeners didn't work well for me. I had to go with fiber capsules, like Metamucil. They worked much more effectively. Good luck!

Thank you! I am probably going to start taking Milk of Magnesia along with my Colace. I'm praying that it helps!
