LO was given gaviscon today which she has had in the last 3 feeds. After each one she has been really screaming and hard to settle , then after about 15 mins of crying will take the last oz or 2 of her bottle.
Just wondered if anyone had experienced this with gaviscon or if its just a coincidence. thanks x

i didnt but what bottles are you using,
My first was a bit like that due to colic from using TT CTN bottles, once i switched to Dr. Brown and also gave Colocynthis really helped with reducing then stopping the crying incidents.

Hope you get to the bottom of it.

My dr told me that the gaviscon works by floating atop the milk and creating a barrier to it coming back up. Is it possible it also acts as a barrier to the wind? Or perhaps, what I was thinking was, my LO stops eating when she is full and then I shove half an ounce of gaviscon mixture down her as well - it's probably very uncomfy for them.
