Hiya, Wondered if anyone had any advice for a newly diagnosed GD lady. My sister had her GTT last week and they called to say they need to see her as her results were high. She is due to go in on Monday to discuss a diet and get a blood testing kit.
So atm she is a bit in limbo, not knowing what her results are, and not knowing what to do or not to do. We are gathering she needs to lower her sugar intake. So we've advised to not have sugary drinks/foods etc, but being preg she still has those chocolate cravings! She was a big lucozade drinker so shes stopped that. My question is really is she to follow a normal type 2 diabetics regime, we have family members with it so kind of know the drill, but if anyone has any tips on where those sugar fixes could come in that are safe etc would be great
