Hey my husbands auntie has this gender pattern theory I want to test to see if she's right. She said that you will either follow your mum and dads gender pattern or your oh parents gender pattern for example my grandparents had 3 girls my mum and dad had 2 girls, my OH comes from a BBG pattern and we have a boy so by that it should mean my next would be a boy as I'm following MIL pattern. She said were unable to tell if there have been any losses in between. Hope this makes sense please help me prove her wrong haha x

my mom had 4 boys then a girl... My MIL has 3 boys.. I have a girl..

My grandparents
Mom side BG
Dad side GB B/G twins

Dh grandparents
Mom side BGG
Dad side unknown

My mom had GG
dh mom had BG
We have BB

And just to add on dh side we are the first to produce brothers in 4 generations, everyone (literally) has a boy, and then girls until they're done having kids

I'm one of 4 girls and have 4 girls myself so definitely true for me, I'm pregnant with number 5, a boy but my mum stopped at 4 so would never no if it would have carried on.
OHs mum is total opposite of us, 4 boys and 1 girl :)

This is interesting!

My dad comes from a family of three girls and one boy.

He and my mom have three girls and one boy.

My sister has three girls and one boy.

My DH's parents have two boys.

DH and I have two boys.

Not sure if it means anything, it is just chance, but we have definite patterns lol.

My Mum had 3 girls, my in laws had 1 girl then 1 boy. I have 2 boys and now expecting a girl so no link here x

4 girls for my mother. For MIL 1 male pregnancy with loss after birth followed by twin boys, three more girls and a boy. And we have a boy and soon a girl.

I have a boy and 2 girls. I'm an only child, DH has 2 younger sisters (twins), so in theory we have the same as my MIL.

Rest of the family

Maternal grandparents BGB (what I thought I'd have!)
Paternal grandparents GBBG

DH Maternal grandparents GBG
DH Paternal grandparents BGB

My mums side:
GGGBG
Dads side:
GBB
my siblings:
GGGBG ( same as my mum )
DH mum:
BG
DH Dad:
GGB
DH siblings
BBBB
Dh and i
BBBG and ive had two losses.

Mums parents - 3girls
Dads parents - boy,girl,boy,girl

Oh mums parents - 4 girls
Oh dads parents - 2 boys and 1girl (I believe)

My Parents - boy (died of cot death) boy, girl, boy
OH parents - 1 boy

My eldest brother - boy, girl
My yongest brother - boy, girl

Me - girl, 12 weeks pregnant with number 2. Hoping for a boy.
Not sure of any pattern here.

Biologically speaking, the sex is completely dependent on your OH. That being said, my grandmother had 5 boys in a row with a male physician, switched to a female midwife and had 5 girls in a row. She always insisted it was because of the midwife switch. ;)

My Paternal Grandparents:
GGBBBBBB (multiple losses not included)

My Maternal Grandparents
BBBBBGGGGG

DH Paternal Grandparents
BG

DH Maternal Grandparents
BGBG

My Parents (my siblings)
BBBGBGBG

DH Parents
BBBB

Hope it helps! Interesting to think about, certainly. If you want my siblings' kids and DH's siblings, I'm happy to provide those, too.
