I have a gender scan booked for 18 weeks. The place we're going to does them from 16 weeks but I didn't want to chance it that early. Do you think 18 weeks will be ok? Anyone else had one done at 18 weeks?? xxx
I believe the longer you can wait the better! after being told the wrong sex at 17 weeks i was really glad i got to have a 2nd chance to find out at my 20 week scan so in some ways....its good to get it before your scan so you can have it double checked
They say after 16 weeks but its best around 18-22 weeks as baby is not too big but not to small that things can be confused if you know what I mean lol
I had mine at 19 weeks. Im sure itl be fine. Where are you going to have it done?
thats not what she asked. If they can make money off of booking her, they'll book her whenever. The original poster asked if anyone else had a scan for gender, that early. She didnt ask if anyone got BOOKED for a scan at 18 weeks.
I had my gender scan at 16+2. Sonographer said she was 99% sure it was a boy. I actually said "oh it's a boy" before she had the chance to,hehe! She asked if I was trying to steal her job, lol!! But there wasn't much mistaking it was a boy - defo looked like a winky. I have a 4D scan in Feb so hopefully will have it confirmed but pretty sure it's a boy xx
i was told a boy at my 20 week scan and believe me there was no mistaking his boy parts, youll see it for yourself and be able to fathom at the same time they do anyway
Thanks guys! I was worried I was being too impatient but we're going to a local place called baby vision and they have 100 success rate so far - they also give you a free 2nd appointment if they are unsure at your first. I am so excited although I am absolutely convinced it's a boy! xxx
I'm having mine done @ 19 weeks ; then having a 4D scan done @ 26 weeks (that'll be my reassurance)
My dr actually advises to schedule them just after 19 weeks, its when he ALWAYS does his anatomy scans, so I'm sure 18 weeks will be a-okay
18 weeks is plenty of time. It just depends on if he or she want so show the bits! Our little girl had her legs open so it was easy to tell. Also had to have another scan 2 weeks later and they confirmed.
I had my gender scan with my last baby at 18 weeks at it was 100% accurate. With my current pregnancy, I had it done at 15+5 weeks and it was 80%. Good Luck!
