I'm only in my first tri and yes I know this is third tri BUT I have a question about gender! How many of you ladies did the baking soda test and how accurate was it for you? I just did it yesterday and got the boy results! Really hoping this is at least somewhat accurate but I'm also not basing the results of it to determine my baby's gender! Just wanted some other insight as to how accurate it is! Thank you all in advance for your replies!

I did it and got girl aaaaaand....I'm having a girl!!!

I didn't do the test but had a strong intuition this baby was a girl and I was right. I've been right with all of mine. Do you have a feeling of what the gender will be?

I don't believe in gender tests. My gf was absolutely certain she had a boy because she 'timed' :sex: there's 50% of being correct and if you are correct, it makes the person believe their method was correct:haha:

What's more likely is that her DH and DH's dad, and his grandfather had a 50/50 tree of girls to boys in their family. So of the ~66 million sperm trying to get into the egg, it was an even ratio and she got lucky with one girl and then one boy in each of her pregnancies.

A person could blindfold themselves and play pin the tail on the donkey. If you get it on the donkey what you feel you're having will come true, it's 50% chance that that will work out too. Whatever seems legit to you!

All my gender tests revealed girls but I'm having two boys!
The tests are fun to do but don't rely on them and get your hopes up, wait for the scan to be sure.

I didn't do any tests but I had intuition with DS but with this bump I thought I had to be wrong and convinced myself it had to be a boy because of there being no girls in DHs family for a very long time lol.

Definitely agree with 2have4kids!

With my first, I did the test 3 times. First was a boy result, served and third were girls. We had a girl.

This time around, I did it twice and for girl. This one's a boy.

All those tests are just for fun anyway! I hoped for a boy but I got a girl and now I'm over the moon!!! :)

Those gender tests said I was having a boy and I am having a girl! I wouldn't take in what they say same with different cravings etc they are all old wives tales they are fun to do but not an indictator of what gender your baby is.

Thanks for your inputs guys!! I'm not relying on the tests to tell the gender, just doing it for fun! Had an ultrasound today and the heartbeat was 152, just have a strong feeling its a boy!!
