I know quite a few people with this name - but it is pronounced in french (which I love).
I love the name and OH and I are also fans of old fashioned names - I haven't mentioned our name choices to my family since I know they won't have anything good to say! Once LO is here and that is her name, then people are less likely to criticize. Go with the name you and OH want - you can't please everybody!

My name is Genevieve, I love it pronounced in french too... but I know no one would pronounce it right

I love it because it's not common. I've only ever met one other Genevieve.
