Hi, a little about me.
I conceived after 5+yrs through ivf and I'm currently 6+3 weeks pregnant.
At 5+2 I had a big bleed for 4-5 hours and passed some large clots, I thought it was over and so went to a&e, they did my beta and told me to go to EPU on Monday for a repeat.
So sat - 12000
mon - 24000
Which was a good sign, scan showed only a gest sac but I wasn't too concerned at this, I then had another massive bleed on wed, passing a lot more clots and blood than fri and have quite bad af cramps too, so this time I was more than sure it was over, my beta on thurs was 31000 which had no where near doubled so they booked a scan on fri to confirm mc.

At the scan I was trying so hard to prepare myself when she told me baby was still there with a lovely heartbeat!!!
But..... The sac is 2 1/3rds surrounded by a bleed and there is a huge clot below the sac! She said I will almost certainly have another bad bleed and that we just have to hope it doesn't take baby with it!

I feel like I'm sitting on a time bomb now and hoping for the best but half expecting the worst.

Does or has anyone experienced anything similar and ended up with a positive outcome? X

Oh Hun , didn't want to read & run , just wanted to wish you the best of luck, I hope your lo hangs in there xx

Hey hunnie, this did happen to me... Gestational Sac was absolutely surround by blood!, my uterus was FULL :( i was told that i would bleed, but there werent sure if i would miscarry or not... Sadly outcome wasn't good and i lost my baby at 7weeks and 6, but my HCG never doubled properally and i never seen a baby or heartbeat x

I've been in the same boat! I haven't had any bleeding but at my 6 week u/s revealed a huge sac of blood bove the baby. Im now nearly 10 weeks and my latest ultrasound showed no change but the baby is doing great.
My doc says these are quite common and rarely cause miscarriage. However you need to take it easy, rest when you can and don't lift anything heavy. I know it's scary but most likely everything will be fine! My doc said it is usually a problem if it is affecting the placenta, its okay if it is around the sac.

I have a bleed round the gest sac. I was told that it was quite common but to take it easy and to expect cramps with bleeding. It's been sitting there since 7 weeks and baby is still healthy x
