You need some carbs or you'll produce ketones which can harm the baby. Make sure to get a good balance with protein/ fat/ carbs. My ratio is about 4 carbs to 2 protein and 1 fat. A carb is 15g of carb (check the label they will tell you total carb). One piece of bread is generally 1 carb though.
