Gestational Diabetes

Hi all, went to see my midwife today after having pains. I'm 25 weeks. She listened to baby heart beat and measured me. I'm measuring 29 weeks which she seemed quite concerned about. She mentioned that this could mean gestational diabetes and has requested a blood test and scan for tomorrow.
Has anyone else had this? This is my 3 rd pregnancy and not really sure what to expect

I had GD with my first. Baby never measured big though. Was controlled by diet. Some have said that GD can cause bigger babies.

Scan went well, baby is actually measuring 2 weeks behind and fluid levels were good... So not sure why my bump is 4 weeks in front? She had no concerns about baby. Bloods have now been booked for Monday. not looking forward to that!

When i was 34 weeks with ds3 i measured 42... I didn't have gd, just 100 gallons of waters. The mw measured me laughed and ran off to get her friend, then they both laughed, thanks girls!!
