I am 39 weeks and 2 days pregnant (Due August 4th) with first kid, baby boy Carson. I live with the daddy, just in a relationship, plan to get married yadda yadda..
Anyways-
My pregnancy has been pretty easy. :coffee: Other than working full time as a technician (being on my feet, high stress level, working late). I shouldn't complain, as there hasn't been any complications. Only thing i take is pre-natal's, Vitamin D and Iron Supplement. Lab work has been normal otherwise.I get the usual preggo pain of sore hips, feet hurt, stomach feels huge, really hungry but cant eat, heartburn etc. I didnt have much morning sickness, either. And now here i am- home stretch. And im bored. I just had my last day of work yesterday.

Heres where im at: :yellow:
39.2 weeks.
Lost mucous plug while working 5 days ago- not a bloody show (checked with L&D)
Waters still in tact.
Baby is head down (feeling his feet rub around the right side of my stomach under my ribcage!)
MW/NP did a membrane sweep yesterday, which was followed by 8 hours of braxton hicks, cramping, lower back pain and just all over uncomfortable.
Scheduled for another on Friday morning if nothing happens by then.

I REALLY don't want to go past 40 weeks, im afraid of being induced because i want a natural med free delivery, no epi or pitocin.
So im on maternity leave now and going crazy cause he shows no sign of coming. But i know pregnancy is different for everyone. This is just my rant in hopes someone has a like story to help me feel confident.

Dont forget you are not acctually late until 42 weeks. Is it your first baby? I read first babies come on average at 40+5 so try not to feel too pressured yet. Personally I wouldn't get a sweep so early because they don't work if your body is not ready and just tend to make you uncomfortable. Unless of course you have a medical condition which means you can't wait longer try and enjoy your last few days with your baby inside you. Although it may not seem like it now you may miss being pregnant after your )LO is here.

Sorry if my last post sounded unsympathetic. I do understand the pressure of looming induction. My LO was 10 days over and I was desperate to avoid induction. I did get my natural, drug free labour in the end though and it was a great experience.

Aww :hugs:.Hope LO comes soon! Try not to stress though, you still have days until you're due!

You don't need to he induced just because you are 40 weeks pregnant. Stand your ground. I've been induced at 40 wks(medical reason) and went into Labour naturally with second at 40+6. Honestly going into Labour yourself is soooooo much better. My first ended in emcs after. My second (vbac) was 4 hours on just gas and air. If you can hold out do! It's frustrating going over but better for you and baby to wait x

It is frustrating being over, I went over and you do feel uncomfortable etc but honestly just rest up. People kept telling me to rest and I was like "I want baby here NOW" and I seriously wish I'd listened to them!! I was induced (it ended in emcs but that was just to non progressive labour, not my induction) and I didn't actually find it that bad.

They artificially broke my waters when I got to 3cm naturally as the pessary didn't work. So technically you could still be induced and have a med free birth - if you dilate enough for them to break your waters.

Xx
