Ooh, yes it is possible, but you would have to chart and keep track every day to catch ovulation. However, I'm not sure it's acceptable to ask you to wait 18 months for a period before you start asking is it?!.... I do know someone who's in the same boat and they're seeing her quite often to see if ovulation is happening and going to try Clomid I think.
I think the NHS in the UK ask that you try for 12 months before getting it looked into..
