Hi everyone!

I was wondering when everyone was going going to getting everything ready for baby? I already have his nursery set up and clothes separated by size. I haven't put them up since I'm planning to wash them soon though. I was wondering when everyone put their bags in the car and installed their carseats?

Im not putting my bags or car seat in the car until i go to hospital, but im attempting to finish packing my bag today!
Ive washed all clothes and there folded/hung and im pretty much ready..

I over prepared the last time, caused myself a great deal of stress and panic thinking I hadnt got everything I needed, this time I will pack a towel, toiletries, pyjamas and a few baby items, last time I had a big bag for me and one for my baby and we never even looked at half the stuff, I might even pack my bags when I am in early labour :haha:

We fitted the car seat base yesterday, and I've just packed my bags. Though I did wash all her clothes at about 36 weeks. Oh, but I'm being induced tomorrow, if I wasn't I probably still wouldn't have my bag packed to be honest! Ooops!

I am having my 2nd but we threw away all of DS baby clothes before learning of bfp.
We really had no space in our old flat.
I don't intend to buy anything this time until around 36 weeks - there is never going to be a shortage of baby goods in the shops. Re car seat. Last time We fitted base at about 36 weeks then took carseat with when I went into labour.
But I know people get excited and combination of this and joy of being super organised can take over! I say enjoy this experience!

I'm nearly ready. All I have left is to install the car seats (which plan to put the bases in next weekend), wash the bottles and breast pump pieces, and finish packing my bag. I have slowly packed my bag with my c-section underwear, toiletries (the small stuff, I'll pack the other stuff last minute), robe, slippers and have my camera and video camera fully charged but other stuff I am going to pack last minute because I am using it. (Like my computer, clothes, and stuff like that). Its going to be packed and ready to go by next Friday because if I am dilated another cm or 2 I am going to be admitted till they are born. If I wasn't high risk for delivering preterm I wouldn't be ready this early but I would probably be about done by 36 weeks because I like to be ready.

I was officially prepared for the hospital on Friday last week, and that was only because there was a possibility I was being induced that morning because of pre eclampsia! If I didn't have that issue my bags would not have been packed! hahaha ooops!

His room is set up and ready, all blankets, clothes etc washed and put away by size. All we need to do in there is put up his pictures and a little wall decal we got for over his crib, also the mobile!! I'm making it, and since I was put on bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy I'm hoping I have time to finish it! I'm 4cm dilated, 75% effaced, and I've lost my mucus plug so we'll see how long he takes!! LOL

All done and dusted apart from some tooth paste now all we need is the baby

my bags were done at 37 weeks, car seat stiill isnt in the car though, i did a massive food shop the other day and stocked up on most things, last thing to d is buy LO something of baby which ill try and do tomoz :) oh and been spring cleaning the past week :)

I washed all baby's clothes at about 37/38 weeks, then when all ironed and put away I made a start on packing our bags. I just have a changing bag for baby and a gym bag for me. They'e been packed for about 2 weeks but I'm still adding bits here and there - nighties a couple of weeks ago, pramsuit yesterday as weatherman says we're getting Siberian winds, nursing bras today and a few last minute toiletries when I go into labour. We installed the car seat yesterday (my due date) we went to the shop and had the assistant show us properly. Today we made a start on buying snacks for OH's bag. He'll be in charge of camera and food/drinks, but that can wait until I'm in early labour too.

Good luck - and don't worry, we're often more prepared than we think!

we'll be doing LO's nursery next month, probably when I'm about 37 weeks. I'll pack my bag in the next couple of weeks and then have it to hand in the nursery so we can grab it when its time to go to hospital.

Mines been done for about 2 weeks...other than car seat cause my car is in the shop, but installing its not an issue when we go to hospital....I'm being induced tomorrow evening, so gonna make sure and double check everything tomorrow

Got most bits, clothes are ready and washed and already had the car seat and other bits from first baby. Just got to pick up a couple more nursing bras (yes they've grown AGAIN!), a couple more sleepsuits, and I want some nipple shields too. Also got to charge my camera and pack it.

I don't know why you would put the bags in the car? Just grab them as you leave the house! I don't plan to rush to the hospital, I want to stay home as long as I can, so even if I go into labour when out and about I'll make my way home and we'll put the bags in as we leave.

Our isofix is installed and has been for weeks - only because I used it to attach my nephews car seat when looking after him. The car seat isn't in there, and won't be until I go into labour ( we will practice before them so dh doesn't panic though!)

Week 36 is when i want to have a long list of stuff to do.

We have a lot to do...so most days that week shall be dedicated to organization.

Wash baby clothes, organize mine &hubbys clothes (throw out ones we dont wear),put stroller in car trunk, clean out car (it's pretty messy), get hospital bags ready.

Yup cant wait.
