My boobs don't seem to be doing much they occasionally leak a tiny miniscule amount of clear fluid but thats it. I told my mum about this earlier and she said she had the same with me and that her milk never came in which is why she had to bottlefeed me.

Im gutted, i really wanted to breastfeed and now i feel like i might not get the chance too

I never leaked...not even a tiny bit with Landon (my first) yet he nursed within the frst 30min and I had a ton of colustrum and my milk came in within a few days, no problem at all. With my 2nd and 3rd I did leak some but it was the same thing, didn't make any diff on whether I leaked or not before hand, all had milk :)

I didnt leak a drop and I still dont - I bought breast pad but I stopped bothering with them. Leaking has absolutely nothing to do with it!

and less than 3% of women have no milk at all ;) It's very unusual x

I had almost nothing while I was pregnant with Sam - a few times it looked like a tiny bit of milk had dried on my bra but that was it...and I breastfed him for a year x

I had no leaking in pregnancy with Lauren, Abi, Toby or Erin (considering I was still feeding Toby till 4 months into my pregnancy with Erin) and have breastfed them all so don't fret babe.

Mervs mum is right about it being very unusual being unable to produce enough milk

Good luck:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

I was the same and just leaked a teeny bit of clear fluid but I've had no problems at all with milk supply. :hugs:

I never leaked at all during pregnancy, and I've got absolutely no trouble breastfeeding :)
x

I never leaked and still don't... my milk took a while to come in but that was more because of my birth experience than anything. We are bf fine now (2 months in).

Leakage isn't a good indication of how bf will go for you, and even if you have trouble there are things you can do and take to increase your milk if you are determined enough.

I didn't leak at all during my pregnancy and my boobs barely grew at all. It all happened after labour and within 3 days my boobs were gigantic and leaking all over. This is why its the best possible thing to go into natural labour if you want to bf.

As with all the other girls, not a drop during pregnancy. But, boy, did it come in with a force a few days later!!!
Oliver is 5 months next week and he is still 100% bf.

Eh???????? I was induced and had no probs. My friend had c-section and she's breastfeeding well too and her milk came in at 3 days. I'm sure you make these things up:dohh: You're not even breastfeeding and have no training on the subject so why do you give out advice on the breastfeeding threads? Quite often it is incorrect advice as well which is unfair on the Mum's asking for help as you may confuse them. Didn't you say that you wanted breastfeeding and bottlefeeding seperated or have I got that wrong?????

I know you have done your BF training Hevz, where as I am only part way through my peer support training but as I understand it, the actual delivery doesnt have a huge bearing on being able to BF. It's prefered to have skin to skin ASAP after the section but there is no physiological reason that the milk wont coming in just the same.
Is that somewhere near?

I never leaked either but did manage to squeeze some out (eventually after trying loads!!!). When I went to a bf session thing the mw said it was fine to have a go at hand expressing after 37 weeks :)

x
