Hi, I was just wondering if anyone would like to give their opinion on the following girls names:

Evelyn
Eleanor
Louisa
Vivienne

We already have 2 boys and a girl Freya. Kind of stuck for this one

Also another vote for Evelyn, it's such a beautiful name. I also like Vivienne but if shorted to Viv I don't think it's very cute for a child where as Eve would be.

I like Evelyn and Eleanor.

Louisa sounds a bit too Southern Belle for my taste and I can't picture a baby/little girl with the name Vivienne.

We're using Evelyn as our middle name. That is definitely my favourite. My younger sister is Eleanor which I also love. We often shorten it to Nora which in itself is a lovely name too x

Thanks guys! I think Evelyn seems a bit more popular in the US (judging by popular baby name lists). Here in Ireland it's not as popular. I keep changing my mind between the 4! So tough to choose - hopefully it will all become clear when she comes along

I'm in UK. i want to use Evelyn but OH doesn't feel it's the right name for us (he doesn't like any names!) It was my grandmothers name. I think it shortens nicely if you want to - Evie and Eve are beautiful too. xxx

I really like Louisa...Vivienne is not so much my taste... Evelyn sounds perhaps a bit "old", but since older names are getting more popular again, I can see a child being named like that.

I like them all really! I think Vivienne is old enough for a come-back, Evelyn is still in style enough, especially with the popularity of Eve. Eleanor is my personal favourite from the list, I just love grand-ma names when they're ready to make a comeback! lol

Louisa is the one I'm not loving quite as much. Louise for me is still a bit young for a comeback, but way too old for a kid and Louisa is "cooler" than Louise by a lot, but still, for me, not "there" yet. "Lou" has that baby boomer vibe, it's a generation away from coming back lol
