EVENING LADIES :)

im pregnant at the moment but ive decided im determined to bring glass bottles back into fashion ... but im not entirely sure where i can get them from?!? i'll use plastic ones if we're out and about but id prefer glass ones from the start, i know they're not tooooo expensive to buy i just dont know where to find them ....

anyone else using glass bottles?
and are they actually safer?
i know they dont break easilly but my mother insists they are safer for bubby and has warned me not to use plastic ones ....
thought i'd ask all you lovely ladies due to the fact im young and naive lol :)

xx

What is unsafe about plastic ones? Is it because of the scare of BPA? If so, you can easily get BPA free plastic bottles now. I know Avent do some.
Not sure where you can get glass bottles from. Good luck in your hunt!!!

I bought my glass bottles from babies r us ..I liked them but they can break easy if the bottle gets too hot ..(dish washer or washing them in hot water ) but other then that there great but not too good on colics

hehe thankyou i think it is the BPA issue and yea a couple of brands of do do them but i like to be different!! might try and get both see which one works better for me :)

but thankyou anyways

I have glass bottles from babies r us... they are from a brand called momo and are supposed to help with colic, I think because of the nipples.

I used the playtex drop in bottles when she was having serious colic issues though, but that was before I changed formulas. I dont think the bottles were the issue at all.

I like the glass ones... pop them in the dishwasher and no worries about them wearing fast etc.

Here are some glass bottles you can buy over the internet:

https://www.bebeco.co.uk/born-free-glass-baby-feeding-bottle-by-bornfree---twin-pack-558-p.asp

But I would highly reccomend MAM bottles.

https://www.mambaby.co.uk/feeding.htm

They are made from polypropylene and do not contain any BISPHENOL A (BPA). Also they unscrew at the bottom for extra ease when cleaning! (Very handy, I have found!) They are designed to reduce colic and reflux and work well for this purpose in my experience. Click here for more experty explanations of how this works:

These are the only bottles that Anna has got on with (and I have tried them all! lol) - The milk flows freely and she doesn't get frustrated with it, it is easy to use and easy for her to hold. I fully reccomend at least trying them!

:D Good luck choosing the right bottles for you x

they are back in fashion already! i use born free as my lo likes wide nipple bases more like a breast...

I saw the MAM BPA free bottles in mothercare the other day reduced to 3 for £5.49. We have a MAM one (just one lol) for Ally's morning feed (as we microwave it) and he loves it. I think they're really nice bottles and for the next baby I'll probably try and get all MAM ones.

I didnt know theres glass bottles!! whats the pros/cons to them??

pro- they last forever and are easy to clean... con- they are brakeable, but ive dropped mine and they have been fine.

Green baby.co.uk - i bought some today really weird! Theyre gorgeous and no toxins either!

if i cannot bf for any reason i will use glass because i don't want to use petrochemicals which are in plastics. i have been looking at stuff for babies and am just horrified by the crap in baby stuff.. take johnsons baby products, they are full of chemical crap... :(
i am going to have to look into everything out there i think and not buy anything unless it is totally natural.

Im using them to put my breastmilk in - specially with all th reheating etc I bought some none BP/silicone dummies too!
