I don't know if its because of teething or she's really just coming off her formula but she's hardly taking any anymore! She usually has four six ounce bottles a day. She still has four bottles.. but is only drinking about half. I absolutely cannot get her to drink anymore. She just clenches her mouth shut and slaps the bottle away. What do I do?

I wish I could help you! Charlotte is the same these days.

Is Lilly still STTN? C isn't waking for feeds either, so I guess I just figure she's getting enough.

Maybe they're ready to move on from it a bit early?

Wow! My little guy only has two 6 oz bottles plus another 3-5 ounce bottle. He eats his solids really well though. I have checked with the doctor and health visitor and they said its normal and fine.

Yes, she's still sttn. She wakes at six and I give her a bottle and she goes back to sleep until 730/8. I try to give her a bottle then but she won't take it. Then she has a bottle at eleven before her nap and only takes about three ounces. Another at two, three ounces again. And then she has a full bottle at seven for bed.

Hmm idk. I guess she would let me know if she needed more!

Thanks for that! I am going to bring it up at the next appt but I'm sure I'm just going to get told the same thing as you!

It's weird because in the UK it seems like they really encourage you to drop milk feeds as baby increases their solid intake. In the US, the general advice is to be offering milk feeds first and then solids, as milk is supposed to be their primary source of nutrition until they're one year old.

Jessica, let me know what your pediatrician says! I'm curious! Charlotte does exactly as you describe, but she doesn't even do a full bottle in the AM or at bedtime - usually about 5 ounces.
