:rofl:Went out and bought another pregnancy book yesterday and pretended to DH that it was the same one - he was like, 'didn't it have a pink cover' and I was like, 'no, erm, no.'

Has anyone else got a pregnancy book obsession! They are so interesting - although, why do they get extremely skinny size 2 models to pose for the pictures? It makes me think that my belly already looks like the four month pictures already (ok that is a slight exaggeration) and that was even before BFP!

The books are good though - the doctor asked me if I had purchased one already and I was like,'em, yes, three.'

 I only have one and it cost me $30  DH wouldn't be happy buying another

I have 2 and have stopped myself from getting more. Word to the wise- get one with pictures. I didn't and I'm quite bummed. I keep looking at google images for pregnant women, and getting pictures of Nicole Richie popping up. Grrr. As if I look like that!

I only have a few and they were all from the midwife lol!

i got rather obsessed in my first preg to the point where i didnt let myself turn over the page until id got to that week of pregnancy iyswim! I liked to see what little one was doing that week!

I have 2 books, but actually get to read one of them bec I like it better! It's What to expect when you are expecting.

I went looking on saturday but I couldnt find one I liked and theyre all so expensive

i brought 2 books when i was pregnant... pregnancy and name book both from mama's and pappa's but was buying 2 magazine's every month on pregnancy, after i gave birth, took all the magazines down to the doctors, for other mothers when they wait and see the MW

Which ones have you all got? :) I was thinking of ordering some, okay maybe two, LOL online tooo.

i wanna get books and start buying things but i am scared of it being bad luck

I also have What To Expect When You're Expecting. It has been great. But the doctor told me not to read too much into it. She said it details EVERY problem that can happen during pregnancy, and told me not to worry about any of it unless she tells me something might be wrong. Its very helpful though. Every time I get to a new month and read it, I can relate with almost every symptom, and it makes me feel better knowing that was is happening is normal. I want to get a good one for my DH. Anyone know of any?

I bought 3 and stole 1 from my sister (she knows I took it) I bought Jenny McCarthy's Belly Laughs and Dr. Bradley's Husband Coached Childbirth, and another one about natural child birth. The one from my sister is called the Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy. I loved that one. It's like What to Expect but it's not with all the scary medical stuff. I can't read about that stuff. I HIGHLY recommend Belly Laughs and the Girlfriend book. Both are very funny.
